Eclipse Marketing Activities Update
·     SDTimes is doing an Eclipse Supplement January 1st. Deadline November
4th.
·     Press Release dropped today announcing the keynotes for EclipseCon.
There will be more
·     Exhibitor Packages are out
·     JavaPolis Conference in Belgium, first week in December. Eclipse in
action IDE day to raise the profile of Eclipse and that conference.

Seminar Series

·     The Eclipse Foundation is organizing a seminar series to raise
Eclipse’s visibility.

o     4 cities are earmarked: Raleigh, Austin, Atlanta, San Diego.
o     Theme: Adopting Eclipse and open source in the enterprise, with a
business focus as to how you can use Eclipse in the enterprise
o     Seminars to be day in length
§     First half of the day, the seminar would focus on Eclipse and open
source which is more business oriented.
§     2nd half of a day – user group: tutorial/code camp in the afternoon
o     Eclipse Member Companies to sponsor the series. Costs: Gold Level
(12K) and Silver Level (5K) Sponsorships.
o     Ian will be sending out finalized sponsorship letter

Marketing Planning 2006

·     Quarterly Seminar Series: Eclipse awareness and email lists
·     Webinars Series
·     Mandy/LeAnn will help for user group and marketing planning
o     Karen will follow up with Mandy and LeAnn
