Submit Now for EclipseCon France

EclipseCon France is coming soon to Toulouse on June 5-6.

Member companies have an opportunity to be a sponsor for the first-ever EclipseCon to emphasize modeling, systems engineering, and technologies related to the Internet of Things.

Send in your talk proposal now; submission deadline is April 15. If you want your talk selected early and featured on the website, submit by the early-bird deadline on April 8.

Foundation Board Election Results

The Eclipse community recently elected three Committer representatives and three Sustaining Member representatives to the Board of Directors. Committer reps are Chris Aniszczyk, John Arthorne, and Ed Merks. Sustaining member reps are Christian Dupuis, Hans Kamutzki, and Mik Kersten. Congratulations to all, and thanks for everyone who participated in the 2013 Board elections.

Dear Eclipse Members and Committers

EclipseCon starts in less than 2 weeks at the beautiful Seaport Hotel in Boston, MA. We have a great set of keynote speakers, a strong technical program and some fun networking events.

The EclipseCon program will feature talks about Eclipse 4, Eclipse runtime projects, Eclipse in mobile and M2M and Eclipse in modeling. We are also hosting the ALM Connect and OSGi DevCon conferences at the same location. It is going to be a great week of learning and networking.

This is our last reminder to register for EclipseCon. Remember to register in advanced to save $300 off the onsite registration price. We hope you will join us in Boston.

EclipseCon One Month Away

Dear Eclipse Members and Committer,

EclipseCon 2013 starts March 25 in Boston, less than one month away. EclipseCon is a great opportunity for you and your colleagues to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and projects in the Eclipse community.

This year at EclipseCon we are organizing two executive events that should be of interest to our member companies. The Open Source Executive Summit is a 1-day event focused on how organizations can benefit from a deeper involvement with open source communities and collaborations. The ALM Connect Executive Day will cover topics dealing with the tools and process organization need to implement to improve their software delivery. Managers and executives can request a free invitation to attend these events from the respective web sites. Please feel free to encourage managers and executives in your organization to attend.

We will also be hosting the annual Eclipse Members’ meeting on Monday, March 25 at EclipseCon. This is our annual meeting for the Eclipse Membership so I encourage you to plan to attend. More details will be sent in a future e-mail.

If you are planning to attend EclipseCon, I suggest you register soon. The cost for members and committers to attend the 4-day conference is $1100 but you need to register in advanced.
