Comments welcome - Regards, Susan ----------------------------- European Marketing Working Group Minutes, Tuesday, October 21st 1 - News and Updates Banking Day New York, December 9th - Ian - sponsorships are still available (USD 2 000), Sybase and Actuate are already sponsors - program is live - http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseBankingDayNYC - located at Morgen Stanley, registration is free - 50-100 attendees, architects, senior development manager Banking Day London Action item: Ian plans a call with banking contacts to pitch the banking day - if you'd like to participate, contact Ian - event is planned for early February 2009, search for a location is in progress 2 - Eclipse Summit Europe 2008, 18-20 November, Ludwigsburg Agendas - European Marketing Symposium (Nov 18th, 09:00-12:00) and Members’ Meeting (Nov 17th, 14:00-18:00) - Ian Draft agendas for both meetings is on the wiki and final versions will be sent to the membership at large in the next days. http://www.eclipse.org/org/foundation/membersminutes/20081117EuropeanMembersMeeting/MeetingAgendaNov17.php Promoting ESE 2008 - Itemis has sent out a press release that was picked up by Heise on the Automotive Symposium - Software & Support have banner adds on the JAX eclipse area and will have advertising on other properties (entwickler.com) - in progress with Eclipse Foundation and S&S 3 Other Items OOP 2009 - 26-30 January - http://www.sigs-datacom.de/sd/kongresse/oop_2009/index.php - Susanne Herl, Sigs-Datacom - OOP conference 1500-1600 atendees - proposing an Eclipse Pavilion featuring Foundation members - feedback was requested by Susanne - eclipse.org projects and commercial products, turnkey or member materials - Susanne and Susan will put together information for feedback on the marketing mailing list Translating Eclipse Brochures - http://wiki.eclipse.org/Marketing_Resources#Brochures - Brochures are ready to translate and available on the wiki - Ian can provide non-.pdf version if required - translations can simply be loaded back onto the wiki page - Itemis offered to translate German - thank you! others welcome! 4. Reminders: - OSGi poster - deadline for participation is October 29th Nadja Outmani, Software & Support Verlag, will provide information to participants - Eclipse Banner is now available for shared use by European members. Contact Ralph Mueller, Eclipse Foundation, for more information. - Eclipse Demo Camps - check out the November 2008 Demo Camps - http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_DemoCamps_November_2008. The camps are publicized on eclipse.org and each camp is supported up to USD 500.00 by the Eclipse Foundation - DevOXX, 8-12 December, Antwerp Plug-in exhibit confirmed. Eclipse Foundation has reserved one plug-in booth for demoing Eclipse projects. Weigle Wilczek and Innoopract will likely participate.
