And I received no mail at all, while my talk was accepted... Maybe that happened to others as well?

Actually, John, all the 100% off codes are the same, so this isn't an error. And you get an accept letter for every accepted talk rather than a single letter with all your talks combined.
We make it appear as though the codes are random, but in reality they are not. We have a group of very honest speakers and they don't cheat, so we no longer have the extra burden of having to have unique codes to keep people from giving them to their friends.
Now we are thinking the extra emails only went to the people who are getting 100% off, which is better. But still not good.

Yep, it sent out the 100% email to the right people once,
and then again to everyone. So you would have received two per talk.
This is our nightmare scenario. But at least we noticed
it immediately so we can prevent the entire group of speakers from registering
with a free pass, completely busting the budget.
