[eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] review phase 1 ECE 2012

hi PC-members,

just to summarize todays call for those who where offline. You should have an invitation and access to the GoogleDoc with all proposals for talks of ECE 2013.

Talks for the OSGi Community Event are filtered because they will be reviewed by the OSGi Community. The Tutorials are on a second page. (tab for second page is on the bottom of the Google Doc)

In the first phase we rule out stuff that shouldnt be here. Comercial-only products, talks with no relationship to Eclipse. Talks are split in 4 groups with 2 reviewers for each. You only need to go through the talks of your group. Vote –1=this shouldnt be here, 0=dont know, not sure, +1=good proposal. Vote 0-10 for the tutorials where 0=very bad 5=somewhere in the middle and 10=super great, cool. Add comments in the PC comment column for any information you have about a talk (you saw it in the past and liked it, great speaker, I asked this person to submit a talk) and especially if you dislike it, give a reason. We need to supply a reason to the submitter for every rejected talk. Prefix any comment with your own first name (as Jonas and myself did that already) That way we can maintain comments from multiple people in one column.

Make up your own mind for votes, dont copy the opinion of your co-reviewer. Its ok to have the opposite opinion. :-)

Keep clear of the "Status" column :-) (dont modify it)

Please have these votes (talks in your group and all tutorials) ready for the next telco on Monday 6th August (next telco).

I noticed that the speaker infos for the proposals only contains one name. This name is arbitrary. Its not the submitter, nor the most important person for this talk. Its one of the speakers. (Thats true for the proposals and for the tutorials) Its the way the data was given to us. Jonas added the second speaker for a tutorial (after asking me) because he felt this is an important information.

If you like to add this information for specific talks, feel free to do so. At the same time please always click at the link to get the complete information about a talk from the conference system. A Speaker might have added information to the abstract after the data was exported.

talk to you guys on monday…..

christian
