Hi All,

 

Meeting Strategies Worldwide will send out the speaker packets and agreements when you are ready.  We will track the agreements coming back and work with the submission system on other information we need.

Th final session: project plenary (same as last year)

 

Other updates:

  • Ian to help out with business track recruiting
  • 2nd round email went out to all of last year’s tutorial speakers
  • 2nd round email went out to member companies

 

AI [Tim]: get “blessed” talks/tutorials from each project

AI [Tim]: get keynote scheduling transmitted to Bjorn, speakers, get speaker info packets ready (include speaker agreement), get abstracts out of speakers to use in website and print marketing

AI [Ian]: Send talk / panel topics to PC for proactive slotting decisions; Ian then to fill

AI: [Tim/Bjorn]: Get final number on tutorial slot availability in venue (factoring in commercial uses and any other “reservations” from Mike or others)

AI: [All]: Correct tracking mistakes and make initial cut of any abstracts that are unacceptable on quality, commercial content, overlap, or other grounds

 

Next week’s agenda will be to make progress on the tutorial program, including a review of any “holes” that remain to be filled.

    • Ward accepted our invitation
    • We should now be complete on keynotes: 5 slots with 6 speakers (Erich and JohnW are doing a joint talk)
    • All pics are up on the EclipseCon site
  • Specific content needed:
    • RCP: long talk needed (expecting one from Jeff)
    • DTP: checked with John Graham, he’s planning on submitting but hasn’t done so yet – still need this
    • DSDP: Checked with Doug, same status
    • EMF: Ed Merks’ group will submit a tutorial abstract, haven’t seen it come through yet
    • Trying to confirm that tutorial “invite” email went out…
  • Plan for tutorial review process
    • AI [Tim] Confirm number of available slots with Bjorn.
    • Correct track “mistakes” for talks
    • Track committees make first pass
    • PC review of results / track balancing
  • Member Updates (last week’s minutes below):
    • Mike – working to get talk in RCP area, CFP via internal meetings (might be deadline driven)
    • Sri – abstracts pending internal approval
    • Simon – working with book author on user track talk (toolkit approach)
    • Paul – contacting VS-in-Eclipse team to see if they’d present
