Hi Gabe,
Mucho thanks for the update.

> I have opened a CQ for the ckeditor. I have not attached the code yet as I
> need to review how much I need. Should have that done soon.

Cool.

> This is done. Check out this example:

Yeah that is a really good improvement, it's much more
legible. Including the time is also good, but has exposed a
'feature' - we have tutorials that are 120 min, but also some
that are 180 min. Now that the time is shown, tutorials will
all show as 120, which might confuse some. Best solution
is to make another talk type that is 180, f'rinstance an
'Extended Tutorial'.

I'll go in and do that.

> I am am working on this one. I was also working on a feature to allow the
> author to ask for some extra time for their talk. Is this feature to
> replace the extra time or in addition to it?

I guess they are pretty much one and the same thing - the 'extra time'
above and beyond the standard talk slot is what mutates it into the
Extended area. Unless there is some other rationale that I've missed
of course!

> They now have to select at least one tag before they can submit their talk.

Cool. The PC will nudge submitters to add tags to the talks if necessary.

thanks!

Here's a couple of goodies from Ian, which I kinda like. What
do you think of them?

Panel: Open Source 2.0

A discussion of where next in Open Source. Panel to be staffed
by analyst and open source-y pundit types eg

Matt Aslett
Jeffrey Hammond
Matt Asay
Michael Coté
Mike Milinkovich (who? ed.)

I like - except title probably not so great since it clashes with
a book that was published in 2005 - maybe Open Source 3.0 :)

Panel: The Future of Application Servers

Ok, so you have an application server, right, and it's a big
lump of engineering with a set of standard APIs, and it's
very popular. What's going to happen though with all this
OSGi and modularity and propensity to desire 'lightness'
that is going on? Let's hear the architect's view, eg

someone from websphere
someone from oracle
someone from spring
someone from jboss

I like this one too -- it would be cool to title it

"Waiting for Chicxulub 2.0 -- the future of application servers"

;-)
