Re: [eclipse.org-committers] Bugzilla, website outages

We finished up the permissions this morning.  Apologies for missing IPZilla.

Greetings,

Many months ago we had occasional outages to Bugzilla, Wiki, Gerrit and
www.eclipse.org. Some of those were related to aging database servers.

Over the months, we've provisioned new servers to help handle the
additional load. The last remaining piece was the most important one --
replacing our database master. A new server was in place and synced up,
ready to go.

This morning, the "old" database master failed. As we had an outage, I
took the opportunity to move to the new hardware.

Our database servers are now running fast, modern hardware. Our database
server hardware updates are now complete  and website outages from
databases should be a thing of the past.

Thank you for your patience while we modernized that portion of the
Eclipse backend server infrastructure.

Your webmaster team,

Denis, Matt, Derek
