Hi Denis,

Since the whole eclipse.org will become offline, will this mailing list be
still operational during the shut down time, so that we can receive any
updates?

This mailing list (and all our mailing lists) will be down. I will post updates to Twitter (@droy_eclipse) as the day goes by.

Thanks for asking.

Denis

Thanks,

Greetings,

Just a quick reminder that we will be shutting down eclipse.org in its
entirety next Saturday, Feb. 9 to move our servers to a new data centre.

http://eclipse.org/org/press-release/20130111_EclipseDownDueToMove.php

Here's an overview of the planned events on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
All times are in the Ottawa/Eastern time zone.

7:00am: eclipse.org becomes offline. A "we're moving" page will be shown
for all our main sites, such as Bugzilla, Git, Wiki, Marketplace,
www.eclipse.org, downloads, etc.

7:00: our DNS entries will be updated to point to new IP addresses.

10:00: first stage servers depart for new location. Since our data and
services are on redundant servers, half of our infrastructure will remain
in the current data centre until the first half has arrived safely at its
destination.

13:00: second stage servers depart for new location.

13:00: some eclipse.org services are restored

17:00: most eclipse.org services are restored

Sunday, Feb. 10: all eclipse.org services restored, Denis will confirm
status via email to this list. Matt and I will continue to monitor and
handle any blocking glitches.

Monday, Feb. 11: we will handle glitches as they appear. Please open bugs
against Eclipse Foundation > Community.

We apologize in advance for the inconveniences this move will cause; we're
working hard to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

Thanks,

Denis
