Summer of Code Announcement
The SOC project would like to announce the creation of the "Eclipse IDE
for Education" component. This component provides a stripped-down
version of the Java IDE, featuring some customized features, including
support for additional languages such as Scheme and Prologue.
Effectively, the Eclipse IDE for Education removes some of the options
that makes Eclipse appear complex to the new user.
As the work evolves, additional education-specific functionality will be
developed including such things as electronic mechanisms for submitting
course work for marking.
