Declaration for the Textual Modeling Framework (TMF) Project

Textual Modeling Framework (http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/tmf/) is a proposed open-source project under the Eclipse Modeling project.

There are two primary ways of displaying and editing models--graphical concrete syntaxes and textual notations. The Eclipse GMF project already provides a solution for developing editors for graphical notations; TMF proposes to provide a means to efficiently create editors for custom textual notations.
