And you'd send one email for each marketplace listing? If a listing is abandoned (owner doesn't answer), but still has hundreds of successful installations monthly, it would get invalidated? I would rather avoid that, FYI some listings such as ShellEd or TexClipse were examples of such "abandoned" solutions which were still some key components for some users. I wouldn't support any process that risks invalidating popular solutions, even if no-one answers the emails.
To me the key for validity of a solution is installability+popularity rather than availability of the owner to answer an email.
