Re: [eclipse.org-architecture-council] Next Meeting?

Oops, Liclipse home is actually here:

   http://www.liclipse.com/

and just noticed that Fabio got awarded a Mars Greatfix for contributing to Eclipse last year …

Thanks,

Martin

Great to see better text editing “for many files” come to Eclipse Core – I’ve tried a couple of different plug-ins for that in the past but none was really satisfactory so far.

Having a good framework for general syntax highlighting / bracket matching in the Core (that would probably attract contributors) is a lot better than the fragmentation we see with many independent plugins.

That said, have you looked at Wordfile Editor – I found comments from the marketplace users quite interesting:

https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/wfe-wordfile-editor

Liclipse from Fabio Zadrozny takes a similar approach, actually using Textmate:

Thanks,

Martin

We moved Angelo's bug (initially target WTP Source Editing) to Platform/Text: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=486961
I'm pretty sure Angelo would welcome hints and help to better integrate is current draft to e4 incubator and then Platform/Text framework.
