I didn't know that tags are private. I used them intensively to mark bugs with bugday in the past. I guess that was a waste of time on my side. ;-)
We could use the Whiteboard but I would also prefer Danis proposal to use an umbrella bug.

You can set any tags on a bug
into the 'Tags' field. Then you create a search query that
matches that tag. After that you save the query under a name
and share it via 'Saved Searches' preference page.
As Wayne has mentioned, the Bugzilla "Tags" field is not shared
and is only used for personal tags..

Lars, I'd prefer not to add other "tags".
I'm a little confused about what you mean. Do you mean
Bugzilla Tags or prefix tagging a subject line (e.g. "[FEEP]
Do something interesting stuff"). I had intended the latter
(I've good success with using these for queries).
I've never used Bugzilla Tags, but my understanding is that
they are connected to the individual (i.e. they're not
shared).

Wayne, could he use instead of a new prefix a tag? Easier to
filter for tags IMHO and we are in platform.ui are using
prefixes already to classify our bugs.

I went to create the umbrella bug and it occurred to me that
it might be just as easy to prefix the subject line with
"[FEEP]".
Are there any objections to just doing this rather than open
an umbrella bug that will never actually get closed as "FIXED"
?
