Re: [eclipse.org-architecture-council] Oomph

FWIW,

I’d like to add a section to our download page with a link to an Oomph executable that allows a user to simply test Recommenders on luna/kepler/mars using the head/milestones/stable update site - including a demo workspace etc.

I think a „Hey, try it out in just 1 minute without changing your daily work IDE“ is a nice feature… Eike, can I have it? ;-)

Best,
Marcel

It's powerful and the real value is when you're trying to share workspace setup within a team, like we're trying to do internally at QNX with our IDE team, or to get CDT contributors up and running. I'm not sure I'd even call it an installer.

Something between what Mentor Graphics has produced and the Eclipse Marketplace Client. At the end of the day, it's about selecting IUs and installing them, but without the user needing to know what that means.
