Eike is well known within the Eclipse modeling community.  He won the Eclipse Top Committer Award in 2012.  He has been a committer on CDO since 2003 so he is very familiar with Eclipse processes and will be a good mentor for incubating projects.  In my opinion, he will be an excellent addition to the Architecture Council.
