https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=342328
Product/Component: Community / Architecture Council

Summary: [EDP] Updates to coincide with proposed Bylaw changes
                    in 2011
    Classification: Eclipse Foundation
           Product: Community
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.eclipse.org/org/documents/Eclipse%20BYLAWS%
                    202008_07_24%20Final.pdf
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Architecture Council
        AssignedTo: eclipse.org-architecture-council@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: wayne@xxxxxxxxxxx

The following changes being proposed for the Bylaws potentially affect the EDP:

1) Removal of the Requirements Council;
2) Replacement of the Roadmap with an Annual Community Report [1]; and
3) Changes in the responsibilities of the Architecture Council [2]

We have an opportunity here to work in other minor changes, but I would like to
restrict major changes to those concerned with aligning with potential changes
in the Bylaws.

I will start a draft on the changes next week.

[1] "Section VII.1 leading the Architecture Council and the Planning Council,
produce an Annual Community Report"

[2] "Section VII.2 The Eclipse Management Organization shall establish an
Architecture Council responsible for: (i) monitoring, guiding, and influencing
the software architectures used by Projects, (ii) new project mentoring, and
(iii) maintaining and revising the Eclipse Development Process subject to the
approval of the Board under Section 3.9(c)."
