Re: [eclipse.org-architecture-council] PMC Approval Lag?

Ok, holiday's over, time to get serious again. :)

Doug's talked to the Tools PMC about this (potential) move for months, so no surprises there ... and you'd be welcome, if there's any doubt.

If it helps you to give some concrete links, the process is spelled out in

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Review_Information_for_Project_Leads#Move_Reviews

A recent case I'm familiar with (not to Tools) might provide some example you could follow (I'm sure there's others):

Docuware:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=302899

Infrastructure:

Thanks,

As lead of the Linux Tools project which is under the Technology
umbrella, I'm willing to put our project forward as a candidate to move
to Tools.  Perhaps seeing movement of some projects will inspire others
to do so as well.
