I think a nag reminder after 48 hours
of no activity would be a good idea. Most cases I've seen are just oversights
due to volume of mail. 
(Well, except for Tools PMC, where we
just always assume Doug will do it :) 

I'm not even sure it needs to be automated,
per se, if there's some way to make clear to committers that after 48 hours
it'd be fair to politely post a reminder.

Esteemed council, I've seen this problem come up a
few times across
different PMCs. For example, take a look at this email below (not to
single out the Tools PMC)

I would expect things to take 24-48 hours in 99% of cases.

Is there anything we can to prevent this? Any ideas? More nag alerts?
