Greetings noble AC colleagues, On bug 270854 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=270854) Denis proposed a two year deprecation phase. I think that's a reasonable time-frame. I opened bug 305291 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=305291) to outline a migration strategy for existing projects. The idea is to find answers to what happens to the existing infrastructure. For example, in 3.6 PDE will have a new feature to check-out a bundles source from CVS. The SDK bundles will likely contain CVS pointers. Those will be broken if we just shut down CVS. But maybe that is ok? Or maybe PDE can embed some "redirector" which converts the CVS urls to Git urls? There is an interesting comment raised in Dave's blog following yesterdays call (http://intellectualcramps.blogspot.com/2010/03/todays-egitgit-chatter-in-twitter.html).
