I'm going to close this as invalid, since I don't think there is enough
information here to be a valid enhancement request.
Hopefully that will motivate someone to reopen it with more information about
what the intended use-case is. If it is obvious to others, please spell it out.
Offhand, it sounds like "export and import preferences" and probably "export
and import projects" are the existing functions that do what is being requested
... but, I could be missing the point.
