Hi PMC,

in 2017 Alex began with removing update.configurator support from PDE which affects the following API:

org.eclipse.pde.core.plugin.TargetPlatform.createPlatformConfiguration(File, IPluginModelBase[], IPluginModelBase)

It was then decided to leave the functionality in place until the API removal process is complete (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=527378#c12).

AFAICS that API was never added to the removal document though, so I am now formally requesting to mark it for removal.
