You already mentioned that: There may be other Simultaneous Release projects consuming and shipping Jetty bundles, and there is a high risk that we end up with multiple versions.

Speaking for RAP: I can certainly check if we can update, and in fact, I would be in favour of doing that. But if it turns out that it causes problems and a more work is necessary (we've seen such things in the past), I would immediately switch back.

Just my thoughts...

I finally went to file issue[1] with them requesting to stage the p2
repo too. I can not afford the time to handcraft it now so any real
testing from my side will happen once there is p2 repo.
