As you should hopefully already be aware, the Eclipse Foundation has declared
a shutdown date for CVS of December 21/2012.
A couple of Eclipse projects are still using CVS. The list of projects,
generated based on information provided in project metadata via the developer
portal, is available via the project status page. http://eclipse.org/projects/tools/status.php?top=eclipse&cvs=1
It seems that the top-level project has a single CVS repository indicated
in its metadata, /cvsroot/eclipse/org.eclipse.cvs-feature. Is this repository
still used? It doesn't appear to have had any commits in many months. Can
we just archive this repository and move on?
e4, has a single CVS repository as well, /cvsroot/eclipse/e4. It looks
like maybe some parts of this repository have been migrated to Git, but
not all.
Can you please ensure that these projects have a plan for migration before
the cut off date?
Let me know if I can help.
