Re: [eclipse-pmc] Request approval to fix bug 336544 for 3.6.2.

Does this have an impact on software being built at Eclipse ... in other words, should the Helios SR2 train make sure that they use a Platform 3.6.2 Basebuilder such that the compiler generates correct code ?

Hi, 

A bad bug has been discovered which has an impact at runtime. The compiler is tagging some statement as dead code and therefore optimize them out of the code generation. This is related to a bogus diagnosis for null analysis. 
A fix is ready and has been released for 3.7M6. 
We request approval to release it for 3.6.2 as well.
