Miles is the lead of the Scala IDE for Eclipse project, which faces very
similar problems to those of the AspectJ and Groovy tooling projects in
that it relies on a patched or forked version of JDT.

Like the other two projects, Miles would also like to see a reduction in
the amount of weaving/patching required to extend the JDT for alternative
JVM languages, with the proviso that no harm should be done to the existing
Java tooling.

Miles would like to get involved as well and is willing to contribute to
the effort.
