[eclipse-incubator-e4-dev] Switching to new e4 mail list: Saturday Novem

Hi all,

As you know the new project is provisioned.
 With it, we have a new mail list (the wonderfully concise e4-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx).
 Boris sent out a note on Oct 30 asking when people thought we should
move over.  I've not seen any responses, which leads me to assume
that nobody has a preference.  In discussing with McQ, we felt it
was best for us all to just impose a deadline, otherwise we'll be on this
list forever.

Thus an abitrary date of a week this
Friday was picked as last day to use the old list.

1) If you've not already done so, please
subscribe to e4-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx
at https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/e4-dev.

2) After 3:00 AM GMT-0 November 15 we
will start using the new list (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=11&day=15&year=2008&hour=3&min=0&sec=0&p1=0).

3) From that point on, posts to the
old list should only be met with, "Please repost to the new list".
 I'd like to propose that we simply all unsubscribe to the old list.
 I've logged a bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=254471
asking if the old list can be set to auto-reply telling people to post
to the new list.  If it cannot, we can leave behind a few moderators
to manually redirect the discussion.

Sorry if this all feels heavy handed,
it just seemed self-organization wasn't happening and we needed a healthy
push :)
