[eclipse-dev] Final Juno reminders for Eclipse project committers

The final scheduled Eclipse project build for Juno is TOMORROW, June 6, 2012, at 7pm EDT (9pm for 3.8). Some final reminders:

- Review the current test failures for your component and be sure you understand them. We still have some outstanding failures due to infrastructure changes in our test environment that we will not fully resolve for Juno. This is ok but we need to be sure that the current failures don't represent real problems. Ensure the tests pass successfully on another machine if possible. When we do the final "sign off" for RC4 we will ask for a summary of the current failures and why it is ok to release with them.

- Review the "what's new" material that is currently in the user and ISV documentation in the build. Check the entries for your component to be sure they are correct. Make sure there are no major new features or APIs missing from the list. You can edit the documentation directly or give me items in this bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=378719

- Ensure the porting guide currently in the build captures all the compatibility problems you are aware of. If not, open a bug against Platform Doc and CC me.

- Review the "readme" entries for your component. The current readme is found in the install under eclipse/readme/readme_eclipse.html. Request any changes on this bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=378717

- Add acknowledgements for your component. These can be contributed next week as well because they only appear on our downloads page and not in the actual build. The bug to add comments to: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=380745

Almost done!

John
