[eclipse-dev] Upgrading from Eclipse platform 3.8 to 4.2

I discovered this morning that checking
for updates on a vanilla Eclipse SDK 3.8 will prompt the user to upgrade
to 4.2. This upgrade actually works fine, but I suspect someone downloading
3.8 (or building a product on 3.8) doesn't actually want or expect this
to happen (they more likely want 3.8.1, 3.8.2, etc). There are a few approaches
we could take to avoid this but I'm curious what others think of this.
