I've opened bug 
86753
to track this question:
What are the most important actions
that should be undoable in the SDK?

M5 introduced an undo framework that
allows plug-ins to share an undo history and assign one or more "undo
contexts" to an undoable operation.  Parts can provide undo and
redo actions that operate on the history for a particular context.  For
example, the navigator will provide undo/redo on the "workspace context"
which includes operations that affect the workspace at large, such as refactoring
operations.

I'm interested in the development community's
opinion on what  are the most important user actions that should be
made undoable.  Please provide your input in bug 86753.
