I've assigned these two bugs to one of our team members.  This does not 
necessarily mean that they will be fixed for 3.1.  As always, if a quality 
patch is provided, this can go a long way to helping these features into 3.1.

Platform UI has this feeling, and is trying to clean up its old bugs.  
However, this is a very time-consuming process.  It must be balanced with the 
need for new features and fixing real bugs.
