[eclipse-dev] copy and paste not working in standard text editor

hi all,
first of all sorry if that question is at the right place here but i did
not find a mailing list like eclipse-users where it would fit better i
think.

i've got a very nasty problem with my eclipse ide
i tried version 2.1.1 as well as 3.0M5.
in the text editor i'm not able anymore to paste copied or cutted text.
crtl+c and crtl+x work ok but neither crtl+v, shift+ins nor edit->paste
do anything there is no reaction. the option [paste] is available in the
edit menu as well as in context menu (right-mouse-click).
strange thing is it worked until mid january but i didn't use eclipse
since then.

on any forms i tried it works allright (like in edit->find/replace), can
anyone help me with that.
