[eclipse-dev] Eclipse GTK on Woody

Hi to all,

I was using Eclipse with Motif on Woody for one week, when I decided to change
to Eclipse with GTK+.

Running the extracted eclipse-SDK-2.1.2-linux-gtk.zip gave me an error
complaining about a micro-code version conflict in the swt for gnome. It
required 2.0.6 having only 2.0.2.

apt-get upgrade didn't help and searching for a solution I found that there was
no complete description available in the net. I found a way which is easy, fast
and may help people encountering this specific problem on Woody.

1) edit /etc/apt/sources.list adding
...snip
deb http://mirror.raw.no gnome2.2/
deb-src http://mirror.raw.no gnome2.2/
snap...

2) apt-get update & apt-get install libgnome2-0

solved my problem.

I am a bit unsure if this mailing list is the right place to post this message,
if errata maybe someone could kindly forward to the appropriate place and/ or
inform me.

regards & keep up the good work
