the eclipse.tool newsgroup (on eclipse.org server)
is the correct forum for questions like this - this list is intended for
build announcements and such.

as for your question, the whole eclipse team uses eclipse for development of
eclipse
also, many, many other people use it (and wsad also,  which is build on top
of eclipse)
please ask at the newsgroup - you'll get a better response from people there
