[eclipse-announce] Eclipse Test & Performance Tools Platform Project

To Eclipse Membership-At-Large,

I am pleased to announce that the Eclipse Test & Performance Tools Platform Project proposal is now available on the Eclipse website under the "Projects" tab (http://www.eclipse.org/projects/index.html).

This is an expansion of the longstanding Hyades project from within the Eclipse Tools project to its own Eclipse Top Level Project.

As per the Eclipse Development Process, this proposal is in the "Proposal Phase"; specifically, this proposal is open for comment from the Membership-At-Large. The review period extends through July 28, during which time you are invited to comment on, critique, contribute to, and offer to join the project via the eclipse.test-and-performance newsgroup or the test-and-performance-proposal@xxxxxxxxxxx email alias.

At the end of the review period, we will gather and present the feedback to the Board of Directors (July 29). A positive vote by the Board will officially establish the project.

I would like to thank Tyler Thessin, Mike Norman, Harm Sluiman, and many others for their contributions to developing this proposal. We look forward to your feedback toward the success of this proposal and project.
