Re: [ecf-dev] etcd-based discovery provider initial signs of life

Cool stuff Scott. I hope I can find some time to squeeze this in. I will try to use it as the provider for the talk.

Cheers,

Wim

Hi Folks,

I've just pushed a new but working impl of the ECF discovery API based upon the etcd server/service [1].  There is more to do around testing, but the basics are working, and there is a junit test plugin to go with it.

I would like to soilcit some review and testing by our discovery lead committers (Markus K and Wim J), and/or others, and discuss among those interested how we should/could build and deploy this provider (e.g. as part of Eclipse project release, as a separately distributed component, via Composent, etc).

Also, I would appreciate some assistance with creating wiki documentation...it will likely need to link to the etcd server documentation (since an etcd server must be setup/run for this provider to work), as well as document the ECF provider configuration properties.  If you are willing to help out with this and/or testing please let me know.

Scott
