[ecf-dev] ECF's 3.8 maven repo

Following up on Ivanhoe's request (karaf features from our maven repo [1])....

To follow through on this I need to get some info from Markus K and/or Wim:

a) Is there a Jenkins job to create the ECF maven repo from the 3.8.0 release build?...or a script, or how was this done in most recent past?
b) Once a has been done, I need to add the appropriate karaf-features.xml to this repo, which apparently means writing to the appropriate location on build.ecf-project.org machine.   I can do this, but haven't used shell access to build.ecf-project.org in some time, and so don't know if an appropriate account/auth info exists for me to do so.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi there

I am interested in trying out ECF 3.8.0 on Karaf.
What I would like to know is what is the maven url to get the  feature.xml ... if this does not exist ... when can we expect it?

So the maven url for feature xml and when will it be available

Kind regards
Ivanhoe

Hmm.   Those feature category versions are created via the build/releng (not explicitly by me or anyone).   I hadn't noticed that they are not in normal form.

Let's look into what we can do for next release (3.8.1).  Would someone please open a bug?

Thanks,

Scott

I added the lower level features directly. No need to change the top level features for my purpose (marketplace)

Also the feature identifiers are not what I expect "rmt"

Same for the other top level features.

There is a strange version number in the SDK feature. It is 0.0.1.xxx where I expected 3.8.0.xxx

Hi Folks,

ECF 3.8.0 is completed and released.   Download [1], New and Noteworthy [2], Build and release info [3].

Note that a 'last-second' addition was the creation of Apache Karaf features for the ECF SDK to make it easier to install and run ECF's OSGi Remote Services/RSA implemenation on Apache Karaf.   See the download page and/or New and Noteworthy for links describing how to install ECF Remote Services into Apache Karaf Runtimes...and run our TimeService examples.

Wim...when you get a chance would you please update the Eclipse Marketplace info to reflect the new ECF version available?

Thanks,

Scott
