Re: [ecf-dev] ECF 3.7 schedule

Sure. Were are the review slides? I don't see them in my mail any more.

Hi Folks,

Status of ECF 3.7 release

1) Our 3.7 release review has completed and been declared successful...see [1]
2) We have an IP review request that has to complete this week for use to release on Monday [2].  We are hoping it will complete by the time we wish to release (Oct 7).  If it doesn't, we will hold the release until the review is complete
3) We need someone to create the 3.7 New and Noteworthy.    If there is someone that can/could do this in the next 5 days, *please speak up here* or send an email directly to me.  It should be easy...take the 3.6.1 N&N (checked in here [3]) and change the items to be those in the review slides (here [4]).
4) Wim...please make sure that the standalone Zookeeper server gets into the New and Noteworthy...and feel free to also add to the 3.7.0 review slides, but it's obviously too late for the EF review.  Since the Zookeeper server is currently distributed via our github location, I don't think it's a problem that it was not included in the technical review.

Thanks to all.   3.7.0 will be released soon!

Scott

Hi Scott,

We have build and exemplary standalone discovery based on Zookeeper [1]

Great!   It should probably be in the 3.7.0 review slides 'Highlights' section.   Please create a short/one-line description...and either provide it to me...or add it to the ppt yourself...and let everyone know on this list.  I will then re-generated the associated pdf.

Thanks,

Scott

Best regards,

Hi Folks,

In preparation for beginning the process for EF release review, I've produced a first draft of the 3.7.0 release review slides. You can download the ppt file here [1], or access via the ECF docs repo [2] at this path [3].

Please review these slides, and if you have anything add, or any comments please make them here.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Folks,

I originally proposed 'Sept 2013' for ECF 3.7 release [1].

I would like to propose revising that to Monday, Oct 7.  We have to produce review materials (soon), have the review (at least a week), and I am away on the weekend of 27th (so I can't really schedule for the 1st).

1)  Any objections/alternatives/comments to Monday, Oct 7 for ECF 3.7 release?
2) Other than the additions described in [1]...along with bug fixes...does anyone have other new/noteworthy things that should be included in the review materials?
3) Are there some committers available this week for work on the review materials generation?  If so, please say so.

Thanks,

Scott
