Re: [ecf-dev] Missing bundle in org.eclipse.ecf.remoteservice.sdk.feature

Hi Scott,

Certainly to create a new feature without the examples and UI bundles would help a lot the consumption of ECF at server side.

I'm to creating one feature.xml right now to handle my needs...  if you wanted I could attach it to the bug.

Cristiano

Hi Christiano,

You are quite right...this is a bug (not including the presence API in remoteservices sdk feature).

I've created bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=409777

Hopefully I will be able to get a fix for this in place very shortly.

Incidently...I/we've known for some time that we need to refactor our feature structure...to make consumption easier for some use cases (e.g. for server side/remote services).   Hopefully we will be able to get to this feature refactoring after Kepler.

Thanks for the notice.

Scott

Hello,

I'm setting a target platform for a kepler equinox server product where I will use ECF.

I used the org.eclipse.ecf.remoteservice.sdk.feature since org.eclipse.ecf.core included lot of UI bundles that I want to avoid.

I noted that org.eclipse.ecf.provider.xmpp is unresolved due to a missing org.eclipse.ecf.presence bundle.

Shouldn't this bundle be included at org.eclipse.ecf.remoteservice.sdk.feature too ?

Cristiano
