Re: [ecf-dev] Helpwanted: ECF 3.6.0 review materials

Hi all,
I edited the highlight section of the slides. I included bugs from 6/12 to now and also New filetransfer provider based upon Apache Httpclient 4.0.Could not add endpoint description sample. Please double check the content before publishing. :) Since I cannot commit I am attaching the slides here.

Hi Folks,

Ok.  I've created a draft of the review slides for 3.6.0 .

It's in the ecf website repo:  http://git.eclipse.org/c/ecf/ecf.git/

in this path/file:   reviews/ECF_Project_3.6.0_Release_Review.ppt

In this file, I've changed the boilerplate content (i.e. 3.6.0 rather than 3.5.6, footer content, dates)...and removed the irrelevant and/or obsolete content (e.g. the old highlights and old bugzilla info).  I've also placed <TBD> in Highlights and Future Plans.  I've changed the content on the Bugzilla page to give the number of bugs resolved/closed since Juno release (3.5.5).

What can be done (by Tishan and/or Harshana):   The Highlights section can be filled out with the enhancements resolved from 6/12 to now.   Here are those enhancements:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?order=Importance&bug_severity=enhancement&resolution=FIXED&classification=RT&chfieldto=Now&query_format=advanced&chfieldfrom=2012-06-26&bug_status=RESOLVED&product=ECF

Each of these can probably be a bullet item on the Highlights slide.

Some other things to add to highlights (in addition to enhancements)

1) New filetransfer provider based upon Apache Httpclient 4.0 (bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=337449 )
2) Added endpoint description example for restlet-based remote services provider (on github)

For reference, here are the bugs resolved from 6/12 to now:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?order=Importance&resolution=FIXED&classification=RT&chfieldto=Now&query_format=advanced&chfieldfrom=2012-06-26&bug_status=RESOLVED&product=ECF

Please coordinate among yourselves (Tishan and Harshana)...on this forum...or on a new bug if you like...so that we don't step on each other's changes (it's a ppt/binary file, so that is a possibility).

OK...*please* give an update on this list about the changes you make by Mon, Feb 25 midnight GMT.  I'm planning to do some more work the slides in the evening Feb 25 pacific time.

Thanks for the help,

Scott
