I went through the bugs list has been  pointed  here but I am unable to find specific bug, improvement  or new feature related to ECF  
If you can mention some topics ,specific bugs...etc  will be very much appreciated

I'm no REST expert but you might get an idea from browsing the open bugs
[0] and GSoC ideas listed for previous years [1].
