Re: [ecf-dev] Speed of the different discovery providers

Hi,

ZooDiscovery relies on being feed by  IP addresse(s) to connect to [1]. So be it  a subnet or wider network, it doesn't matter  concerning configuration. What functionally matters for ZooDiscovery is which of its configuration flavors meets best  your needs.   I think the only common thing between  these three is that they all implement the ECF Discovery api.

Subject: [ecf-dev] Speed of the different discovery providers

Hi folks,

just from your feeling/experience, could you give me a ranking for the
speed of the different discovery providers (of course some should be
configurable, e.g. zookeeper), usage in a subnet.

Is it possible to trim zookeeper in a subnet faster than SLP or JmDNS?

Thanks!

Martin
