Hi Wim,

it's the naming authority that has defined the service type. E.g. SLP
defaults to IANA [0] but allows to set a custom one on the network layer.

The use case is you define your own service type
"some._wim._servicetype", you would become the naming authority
"wimjongman" to indicate that the service types has been defined by you.

Other discovery protocols/providers might not allow to set a naming
authority and thus simply default to IANA (ECF discovery default).
