Hi Folks,
ECF 3.1 is now available [1]. For the New and Noteworthy see [2].
The highlights:
a) ECF REST API
b) Distributed EventAdmin
c) File-based Discovery
d) Work on TweetHub
Again see the N&N for info/docs about each of these [2].
Thanks particularly to Holger Staudacher, and the Siemens guys (Philipp,
Thomas, Viktor, and perhaps others) for their most excellent
contributions. Great job to all the Google Summer of Code
students...once we get through the IP approval and committer approval
process then all the work will make it into ECF.
Thanks to Ted Kubaska for the build help.
There are a lot of pending additions that are exciting coming up this
fall, including
IPC contribution - [4]
Newsreader contribution - [5]
Google services provider - [6]
SIP and Jingle VOIP - [7]
Remote services testing infrastructure
and, of course, work on the Google Wave provider, which has now begun in
earnest - [8]
So...the the next release is going to be extremely exciting!
Scott
