I've been looking at the project a little bit this am, and browsing
through the source. It looks like it may have had the
involvement/contribution of some of the Google Wave/waveprotocol people
(e.g. Sam Thorogood and Dan Bentley...and perhaps others that I don't
recognize). The package namespace they are using in the code is
The (very) good news is that it's apparently licensed under Apache 2.
The protocol implementation could then (very easily, almost trivially)
be used to create a ECF container for Google Wave as per
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=280347. At a certain
point it might be useful for us to contact the authors directly to ask
about coordinating a code contribution to ECF (as Google is an EF member).
