Thanks Scott and Remy for the comments on bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=256696.
I added a new patch that contains the implementations suggested there.
But I'd like to get more feedback on the API in particular, so please if somebody wants to take a look, run it,
and put comments on the bug about the API and/or the UI, I appreciate it a lot. This needs to
be done as soon as possible, then I can release the code to HEAD and it can
get into ECF 3.0M5.

I'm working on a user search API that works in two different ways, sync and async... to validate this API I implemented a XMPP user search. I'm planning to merge the code to HEAD (ECF 3.0) soon, probably during this week, so I appreciate a lot your efforts to put some comment on the bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=256696#c7
. Please let me know if you have suggestion/comments about this API and the UI.
The code is available on a branch(presence_user_search) or patch (see the bug).
Thanks in advance,
