Re: [ecf-dev] ESE talk submissions

Hi Mustafa,

I'd like to join in and either give a talk or co-host one.

"Real-Time Shared Editing in Eclipse: Now and Future" sounds good.
Something along the lines of using twitter communication/friendfeed
rooms for development purposes and eclipse integration via ecf would
also be interesting.

How should we go about submitting talks? Should I go ahead and propose
a dedicated (long/short/demo ?) talk for real-time shared editing?

Yes, I think you (Mustafa) should propose a long talk AND demo for real-time shared editing. I'll co-present/co-demo if desired. Feel free to use whatever title you like...no need to use that one if you have another in mind.

Should we propose a single ecf talk with broader scope?

I'll propose some sort of talk having to do with ECF's 'broader scope'. I'm not sure yet what the right title/focus of it is...I've sort of been thinking the emphasis on server-side/runtime/future Eclipse usage of ECF...i.e. p2, discovery, remote services, clustering...as well as e4...but any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

Hi Jeff and all,

Now that I'm able to go to ESE :), here are some topics that I've been
thinking about for talks, demos, or symposia submissions:

Networked OSGi services with ECF
ECF's Service Discovery
Real-Time Shared Editing in Eclipse: Now and Future
ECF and E4
Collaboration Across Eclipse Projects with ECF
Enterprise Messaging with ECF and Equinox
VOIP, ECF, and Eclipse?

Other ideas?

Of course, I'm not Phillippe Ombredanne :), so I'll probably submit 1 talk,
1-2 symposium from above...any committers interested in submitting in these
areas (I would be happier if other committers did these talks rather than me
so if you want to do it please just say so). Or co-presenters with me on
some talks/demos/symposia?

Please speak up soon. The deadline for submissions is end of August.

I was looking through the ESE submission system

strongly suggest that the ECF community submit some talks, demos, ...
