Hi Michael,

Hi Scott,

yes, it is the same bug.

I setup another server (tigase) because i can't connect to
the ecf- or google-talk-server (firewall). With this server all works fine.
btw. we use Openfire 3.5.2. all works fine with this server,
besides DocShare :(

I will track the bug :)

Could you please post on the bug the version number of Openfire that you are using (3.5.2)? If others use or have access to the current Openfire source code that shows this problem, I would appreciate any reproing, logging, testing, debugging that you can do with Openfire. Please report any info that you can collect on this bug: I have contacted Jive Software (Matt Tucker) and am going to attempt some follow up with them (and with the Openfire source code) to attempt to isolate and then fix this bug.

Hi Michael,

With some versions of Openfire server people have reported problems. See bug

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=237901

To verify that you are experiencing the same problem have you tried it with google talk/gmail.com?

We (ECF) have a rather old version of the Openfire server at ecf.eclipse.org, and this version works just fine.

If you would like to test using some accounts at ecf.eclipse.org send me an email directly and I will let you know about some test accounts.

Hi List,

I use DocSharing described like here:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/DocShare_Plugin

As Server I user Openfire (Jabber/XMPP). It is possible to Share a File with another User. It opens in both Eclipses, but the problem is:

Both can edit the file, but only the changes from the initiator of the
share-session are visible. if the other user changes the file he see's the
changes only local. the initiator sees nothing.

Does anyone knows what the problem here is?

Regards

Michael
