Microsoft, Yahoo IM clients finally to chat each other up
Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger with Voice
will be able to connect to each other through either service
as of Wednesday night

Step-by-step they are talking to each other via closed protocols.
Sad there is not one open protocol here. Shame on our industry.
Can you even imagine email still operating this way?
