[ecf-dev] Introductory emailc

Hello fellow ECF enthusiasts,
My name is Remy Suen (you can call me 'Rem' for short) and I am one of
the eleven privileged students that have been selected by the Eclipse
Foundation as part of Google's Summer of Code program (you can find the
entire list here if you have not seen it yet -
http://code.google.com/soc/eclipse/about.html). As you can see, there
are three projects centred around ECF with Scott at the helm leading
the other two. I think that the ECF project is going to get a very nice
publicity boost during and after the summer is over, which should
hopefully attract more developers and users to the project. It's a
great honour to be able to assist with the Eclipse project and I hope
that the code I create and contribute will be of some use to the ECF
project.
I have some experience with network programming and plug-in development
for Eclipse, but am obviously no match for most of you out here on the
mailing list. I hope that some of you will be able to find some time to
offer some guidance along the way in these next few months, and
hopefully also in the future as I would like to continue contributing
to the ECF project even after Summer of Code is over.
